About

Every Person Has a Story. What Is Yours?

Therapy is not merely a diagnosis and treatment plan. It is an exploration of your story, your experience and perspective. It is discovering the roots of behavior and belief systems while tending to original wounds. It is looking to see what needs attention and care at this time. It is the soul work of remembering your greatest vulnerabilities and strengths for real discovery and change. As a licensed therapist in California (#46082), Colorado (#0001118) and Utah (#13848564-3902) as well as Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP), I work virtually with individuals, couples and families to accomplish client-identified goals utilizing a variety of wellness approaches. Professionally I have completed two master's degrees: MA in Psychology specializing in Consciousness, Spirituality and Integrative Health; MS in Counseling with a dual specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling, and School Counseling. Believing there are many routes "in" to the therapeutic process, I have completed additional training/certificates in expressive arts therapy, meditation/mindfulness/contemplative prayer, guided imagery, healing circle work, Trauma-Sensitive Kundalini Yoga (RYT-200, #426958), herbal medicine (non-psychoactive), living with cancer, and end-of-life support. In my work with clients, I meet you where you are at. My therapeutic approach draws from a variety of approaches to include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and transpersonal, allowing all aspects of you to show up: Mind (thoughts/beliefs/cognition), Emotions (feelings both past and present), Body (which can hold and manifest physical symptoms related to mental health), and/or Spirit (can be defined in various contexts). Examples of my techniques include traditional talk therapy, somatic experiencing, breath work for stress reduction, and guided imagery for deeper clarity. As a certified yoga teacher, I offer individualized gentle movement and/or breath exercises to assist with stress management and mental/emotional balance if the client has interest. Ultimately, finding growth and restoration in a way that makes sense to you is my goal.
